Georgia Learner's Permit

For young drivers, a learners permit is a necessary step before going on to getting a drivers license in Georgia. Start the process by taking a practice test below!

You must be under 18 to apply for a Georgia learners permit. In order to qualify, a young driver's school records cannot show any suspensions, conduct problems or withdrawals from school.  Frequent incidences of school absenteeism will also prevent a young applicant from obtaining a Georgia learners permit.

A Georgia learners permit is valid for 24 months. Learners permit holders may only drive a vehicle if they are accompanied by a licensed driver who's at least 21 sitting in the front passenger seat.
