Vital Records

In order to obtain a driver's license in the state of Georgia, you may be required to bring a copy of at least one vital record. Most commonly, a Georgia DDS will request your birth certificate as proof of identity when applying for your license. You should have an official birth certificate handy at all times, in case you need proof-of-identity to obtain or replace your Georgia driver's license.
